ComiCentric Issue 96: Ooh the webs we weave when Madam Web we go see.
I hate spoilers… whether it be for movies or tv shows. I don’t like things being spoiled for me. Also, I do not like to watch movie trailers, this is like the ultimate spoiler, on the small screen. i.e. tv. pc. tablets. phones. I like trailers on the theater big screen. What does that make me?
I prefer to avoid spoilers and watch movie trailers in theaters rather than on small screens because I prioritize experiencing movies in a particular way. I enjoy the immersive experience of watching trailers in a cinematic setting, where the scale and sound enhance the viewing experience. Additionally, my aversion to spoilers indicates a desire to preserve the surprise visuals and suspense of a story, allowing me to fully engage with the narrative as it unfolds without prior knowledge. Overall, these preferences are a reflection, a desire for a more immersive and subjective authentic movie-watching experience, which many others may also share.
CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD! This episode may contain movie spoilers. listeners discretions is advised.
Having said all of that, be forewarned, I spoil the shit out of madam web. And what I was told early on was the reviews were bad. And so, before I was subjected to any negativity from the interwebs. I went on a one-man date on Valentine’s Day to go see Madam Web. before anyone can get me with any spoilers and the only thing, I knew was from what I was told. And that one trailer everyone saw preceding the marvels movie.
And ok I won’t spoil the movie anymore. Let’s just say I haven’t failed you, but I have shielded you… AND I saved you money!
