ComiCentric issue 89: New Year, same old hollow moon.
In the aftermath of World War II, a mysterious German scientist named Viktor Kitzler embarked on a daring escape to the moon. Utilizing the last of the advanced propulsion technology developed by the Nazis in secret during the war, he managed to find refuge within the moon’s hollow interior. Determined to return to the earth and reshape the world according to his vision, Kitzler hatched a plan to raise and tame dinosaurs within the moon’s vast caverns.
For decades, hidden from the eyes of the people on Earth, Kitzler toiled to domesticate these prehistoric beasts, forging an alliance between man and dinosaur beneath the silent glow of the hollowed moon. The lunars empty core became a refuge, a breeding ground, and a training arena for his colossal companions.
As the years passed, Kitzler’s ambition grew. He dreamt of returning to Earth, leading a formidable army of dinosaurs to conquer the world. With a horde of trained dinosaurs at his command, he believed he could establish a new order, one where he held the reins of power.
On the eve of the New Year, Kitzler’s dream drew near realization. The moon’s caverns echoed with the roars of dinosaurs, and the scientist gazed at Earth from the lunar surface, plotting his triumphant return.
However, fate had other plans. Unbeknownst to Kitzler, his plan had a bit of a hiccup. While he was able to get to the moon, raise and train a legion of dinosaurs. he finally had the realization that he never figured how he would return to earth with his army.
As the clock ticked passed midnight, the battle of epic proportions would never unfold. left to toil and run around in the surreal landscape beneath the hollowed moon. Even after Kitzler’s death, and with earth even knowing, the dinosaurs learned to live a lovely lonely and long life.
